The Pittsburgh Steelers were shut-out 17-0 last night by the Philadelphia Eagles at Heinz Field in the team’s second pre-season game. Steelers starting quarterback Landry Jones threw four first half interceptions in the game. Most of the starting offensive players, including Ben Roethlisberger did not see the field, and have not in the first two exhibition games.
Steelers linebacker James Harrison has agreed to meet with NFL officials regarding the report from the now defunct Al Jazeera America regarding performance enhancing drug use. His meeting is scheduled for August 30th. Green Bay players Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews were also mentioned in the report, and have also agreed to speak with the NFL as it investigates the claims.
