The Pittsburgh Steelers will be looking to avoid a potential “trap game” against the 1-4 Miami Dolphins.
The Steelers may be without a few of their starters as well. Ryan Shazier did not practice Friday and is a game-time decision along with receiver Sammie Coates, who the Steelers announced Friday had a broken index finger. Reports say Coates will test the broken finger before the game before giving the green or red light.
Meanwhile safety Shamarko Thomas, wide receiver Markus Wheaton, offensive lineman Marcus Gilbert, defensive end Cameron Heyward, and backup lineman Cody Wallace will not play in Sunday’s game.
The Steelers promoted wide receiver Cobi Hamilton from the practice squad to the active roster in case Coates isn’t able to play. Also, rookie receiver Eli Rodgers will make his return after being out for the past few weeks with a toe injury.
