The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to Carolina 25-19 in their final preseason game last night in Charlotte. Second year quarterback Mason Rudolph relieved Josh Dobbs, who started the game, and went 7-of-11 for 125 yards. He threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Johnny Holton in the second quarter. He finished the preseason with 368 yards and four touchdowns.
Dobbs finished the preseason with 280 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions. He went 3-of-5 for 21 yards last night.
The Steelers have to cut to their final roster of 53 by 4pm Saturday.
The Steelers finished the preseason 3-1 overall. Next up is the regular season opener in New England a week from Sunday.
