The Pittsburgh Steelers sat many starters for Sunday night’s Hall of Fame game in Ohio, and lost 14-3 to the Minnesota Vikings. One starter that did not sit, may be lost for the season. Kicker Shaun Suisham suffered a potential serious knee injury. Entering this season, Suisham had the best field goal percentage rate in Steelers history. Rookie running back Cameron Stingily also suffered a knee injury last night. Third-year quarterback Landry Jones went 16 for 32 for 128 yards in the game. Rookie tight end Jesse James from Penn State, had a couple key drops, one that would have gone for a Steelers touchdown.
Long-time Monday Night Football broadcaster Frank Gifford past away Sunday at the age of 84. Gifford played in the NFL for the New York Giants. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977.
