The Pittsburgh Steelers ended their season with a 28-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. The Steelers went 7-2 in their final nine games of the season, but missed the playoffs after Miami defeated the New York Jets 11-6. The Dolphins claimed the final AFC Wild Card Playoff spot.
Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for 195 yards and one touchdown. Running back Najee Harris had 84 yards on 23 carries. He became the first Steelers running back in team history to rush for over 1,000 yards in his first two seasons. He totaled 1,038 yards this year, and 1,200 yards in his rookie season. He also joined Le’Veon Bell with at least 650 receiving yards in each of those first two seasons.
Kansas City and Philadelphia earned first round “byes” for this weekend’s opening round of the NFL playoffs. Other games in the AFC:
