The Pittsburgh Steelers released veteran kicker Josh Scobee over the weekend and have signed Chris Boswell. Boswell is the fourth Steelers kicker of the season thus far. He has never kicked in an NFL regular season game. After kicking for three seasons in college for Rice, he was an undrafted free agent who went 2-for-2 last year in the preseason for Houston, but was cut at the end of the Texans camp. Boswell then went 4-for-4 in the preseason this year for the New York Giants, before being cut. The Steelers visit San Diego a week from today.
