COVID cases and hospitalizations across the state have been continuing to fall at significant rates over the past month.
Now, Department of Health officials say statewide hospitalizations have fallen below 1,000 total for first time since last August. Locally at Butler Memorial Hospital, they were treating 11 patients for the coronavirus with two in the ICU.
Case rates also are dropping to levels not seen since last summer.
Health officials still advise to get a COVID booster shot if you haven’t yet.
