As state universities look to find ways to reduce their workforce, they are offering some employees an early retirement incentive.
The State System of Higher Education’s governing board voted to offer non-faculty employees double the payout they are eligible to receive under their current contract.
The state system is looking to cut costs over the next few years as enrollment numbers continue to trend downward. Slippery Rock University is one of 14 schools in Pennsylvania that comprise the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
