A local State Representative has been accused of Driving Under the Influence after an incident in Mercer County last weekend.
According to the State Police, 51-year-old Tedd Nesbit was observed in violation of traffic rules on Interstate 79 southbound in Findley Township shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday (12/8).
A traffic stop was initiated and Nesbit was determined to be under the influence with charges pending for DUI. Nesbit represents a portion of Butler County residents in the 8th PA House District.
Nesbit released a statement Monday afternoon regarding the charges, saying “I made a mistake for which I am embarrassed and deeply sorry. It will not happen again. I intend to work hard to regain the trust of my constituents.”
