State Representative-Elect Aaron Bernstine has opened a district office in Ellwood City.
The Line Avenue office will be open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with additional evening hours on Thursdays until 7 p.m. Residents can contact the office by phone at (724) 752-2120. The office will be staffed by Nick Kerin, district office manager, and Mandy Hyde, constituent outreach specialist.
“I invite residents to stop by and let us know their thoughts about state government and the issues that impact them every day,” Bernstine said in a statement. “From assisting with applications for state programs to helping resolve an issue with a state agency, we are here to help.”
Services available at the office include:
- Assistance with PennDOT paperwork (lost cards, changes, corrections, special registration plates, vanity plates and temporary placards for persons with physical disabilities).
- Information and applications for senior citizen benefit programs, including Property Tax/Rent Rebate and PACE/PACENET prescription drug programs.
- Information and applications for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
- Help with securing birth and death certificates (photo identification required).
- Information about legislation.
- Assistance with resolving matters relating to state agencies, such as Veterans Affairs, Human Services, Labor and Industry, Insurance, Environmental Protection or Conservation and Natural Resources.
Residents also may visit RepBernstine.com for a variety of state forms and applications, including applications for birth certificates, the PACE and PACENET prescription drug programs and the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program, along with numerous PennDOT forms.
Additional satellite office hours in other areas of the 10th District are expected to be opened in the near future.
The 10th legislative district includes Slippery Rock Township and Slippery Rock Borough in Butler County.
