It happened, again.
At least five workers at the state prison in Somerset County were taken to the hospital on Thursday, as well as one guard at SCI Greene.
Officials say in Somerset, the three employees got sick while passing out dinner trays to inmates. They apparently opened a cell door to pass in a tray when they saw inmates smoking an unknown substance. Soon they felt dazed, ill and flushed.
At SCI Greene, a guard was taken to the hospital after feeling ill.
Officials at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections say the problem is synthetic marijuana, also known as K2. It’s a clear, odorless liquid that can be sprayed on paper.

There has been a rash of incidents involving corrections officers getting sick at prisons this month, including at the Butler County Prison.
That prompted the Department of Corrections to put Pennsylvania state prisons on lockdown on Wednesday. They remain on lockdown meaning no visitors, no mail and no prisoners allowed out of their cells.
Officials say 29 prison workers have had some degree of a chemical reaction after apparently being exposed to a substance. The incidents started happening Aug. 6 and have occurred in eight western and central Pennsylvania prisons.
Symptoms include dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, and skin tingling.
