With the New Year’s holiday fast approaching, police would like to remind those planning to travel this weekend to be safe.
The local State Police Troop D in Butler County will be working to minimize accidents this weekend through a greater emphasis on detecting impaired drivers.
Anyone driving on or around the New Year’s holiday should be safe and alert at all times, as well as obey all traffic laws including not driving while impaired.
Units from Troop D will be patrolling Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties through Sunday, Jan. 1.
