Police are asking for help determining why an Armstrong County woman died of a fatal drug overdose.
According to State Police, 44-year-old Jennifer Ann Martz of Cowansville was found unresponsive at a residence in East Franklin Township around midnight last Friday night into Saturday morning (11/4-11/5).
Narcan was administered by medical personnel with no effect and Martz was taken to Armstrong County Medical Center before being flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where she passed away Saturday. Suspected heroin was discovered in the toilet.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Kittanning barracks of the State Police.
