State Police have released statistics for the four-day Memorial Day holiday driving period.
The agency investigated a total of 757 crashes during the long weekend, which ran from last Friday through Monday.
The crashes resulted in 178 injuries and nine fatalities.
Spokesman and State Police Corporal Adam Reed says 61 crashes involved alcohol.
“Any alcohol-related crash certainly can be prevented,” Reed said.
Troopers made 550 arrests for driving under the influence and issued 13,916 speeding tickets.
