You may be seeing more of them on the roads and parks—electric bicycles.
So with the new modes of transportation, Pennsylvania park officials are beginning to work on policies for how they can be used at state parks.
Nicole Faraguna is with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
“As people are aging and people with injuries are looking to explore and seek opportunities for healthy activities, e-bikes are offering another opportunity for people to go out deeper into woods or on trails. So we feel the e-bike policy is about ensuring access to the outdoors for all people,” Faraguna said.
Faraguna says people can submit their comments on electric bicycles by visiting DCNR’s website.
