There is still time to enroll in a state sponsored college savings plan.
According to PA State Treasurer Timothy Reese, residents enrolling before the end of the year for a Pennsylvania 529 college savings account will not pay any enrollment costs. This is a savings of $50.
For the 2014-15 academic year, the average cost of tuition at the state’s 212 institutions of higher education was $20,000.
