Candidates for the State Senate and House of Representatives can now officially start circulating nominating petitions.
The process was put on hold as the courts weighed challenges to the map over the past month. Now, the Department of State has revised the timeline for candidates in state legislative races to get enough signatures to be on the ballot.
It’s a brief 10 day period starting today and wrapping up March 28th.
Candidates must secure 300 signatures in order to qualify for the ballot.
