State health officials are reminding residents that the risk for the coronavirus remains very low in Pennsylvania.
Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine says it’s not going to be a risk for those who have not done any traveling.
“Right now really the only people at risk of having the novel coronavirus are those who have traveled from China,” Levine said. “So if traveled from China in the last 14 days, you are not at risk.”
Levine said her department is fully prepared to respond if someone were to contract the virus.
But she stressed that the flu remains a much more significant threat to Pennsylvanians health—there have been 531 confirmed cases of the flu in Butler County and close to 50,000 in the state.
