The Department of Health is reminding people that the seasonal flu continues to circulate along with COVID.
Officials describe the flu activity as moderate in Pennsylvania at the moment as there have been over 28,000 cases so far this flu season.
Locally, Butler County has had 283 confirmed cases, with a majority being Influenza A.
Dr. Denise Johnson is the acting physician general for Pennsylvania and she says once you start to develop symptoms, you should get tested.
“A lot of the symptoms of flu and COVID-19 overlap and so to get the real definitive diagnosis, it’s really recommended to have a test.”
Statewide, 16 deaths have been attributed to flu according to the Department of Health.
