Local fire companies are invited to attend a presentation featuring the state Fire Commissioner later this week.
State Rep. Tedd Nesbit is hosting the seminar Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. at the Harrisville Fire Company Firehall. Nesbit is a Republican representing the 8th District, which includes parts of Mercer and Butler counties.
Pennsylvania Fire Commissioner Tim Solobay will be on hand to talk about his experiences and local fire companies can receive information about state grant and loan programs.
October is Fire Prevention Awareness Month.
The presentation is expected to last for 90 minutes. To register, call Nesbit’s office at 724-458-4911.
