With the Pennsylvania Farm Show wrapping up this weekend, the half-ton butter sculpture currently on display will not go to waste.
The Harvesting More Together sculpture celebrating the role of the state’s dairy industry in feeding local communities will be dismantled and transported to a dairy farm in Juniata County.
Once there, the inedible butter will be converted into renewable energy to power the farm using a methane digester.
The 90-minute deconstruction process begins at 9:30 a.m. today with assistance from students with the Friendship Community 4-H Club.
