State health officials say COVID trends are encouraging as cases fall on a daily basis.
Acting Health Secretary Keara Klinepeter says that the average number of daily cases is around 5,500, which is down significantly from the peak of 25,000 per day.
Hospitalizations also continue to decline. As of yesterday, there were just over 3,300 being treated for COVID—which is down 800 from just last Friday.
Health officials say their message is simple to continue the trend—it’s to get vaccinated and get boosted.
