House Republicans will proceed with a historic vote Wednesday enabling Democratic Governor Tom Wolf to test support on his tax plan.
His revised proposal includes an increase in personal income tax and imposes a tax on natural gas drilling. It does not include a raise in the rate of sales tax or cigarette tax.
If a deal is not reached by Saturday, the number of days in this budget impasse will exceed the 101-day total of 2009 under ex-Governor Ed Rendell.
