A state budget proposal is finally in the hands of Governor Tom Wolf.
Late Wednesday afternoon, the PA Senate passed House Bill 1460, which the House of Representatives approved Dec. 8. The bill is a $30.3 billion spending proposal, which would provide an immediate end to the nearly six month budget stalemate.
Local Rep. Brian Ellis and Senator Scott Hutchinson are urging the governor to sign this bill, which includes a total increase of over $400 million for Pre-K to grade 12 education.
It is not known at this time when the governor could take action on the bill.
