The state Department of Agriculture has a list of banned plants in Pennsylvania—and they’ve just added a couple more.
Late last week, officials added Ravenna grass, which is also known as hardy pampas grass, glossy buckthorn, and common buckthorn to the noxious weed list.
They say these plants are not native to the area, and can be very invasive.
Not all types of pampas grass are banned, and some remain quite popular landscaping options like zebra grass.
