Starling Marte has been named a 2016 Gold Glove Award winner, the second consecutive time he has earned the honor. Marte, who was named to the N.L. All-Star team for the first time in his career, led the National League with 17 outfield assists (the most by a Pittsburgh player since Dave Parker had 26 in 1977), while committing only four errors.
The Rawlings Gold Glove Awards honor the best individual fielding performances at each position.
