Support staff at Mars Area School District have voted to accept the Collective Bargaining Agreement offered by the district.
According to a press release from the district, further details about the new contract, which covers custodians, paraprofessionals and secretarial staff at Mars, will be provided at the next school board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
The board also plans to take action on the contract during that meeting.
The Mars School Board set a Sept. 1 deadline for support staff employees to accept their final best offer or the district would move forward with a plan to contract with an outside vendor for custodial services.
