Some schools are being affected by the widespread power outages on Wednesday.
The Butler Area School District sent an alert to parents early Wednesday afternoon letting them know that some students may be arriving home later than usual today due to downed tree and power lines in several locations throughout the district.
St. Wendelin Catholic School in Butler dismissed students at 1 p.m. due to a power outage.
