Numerous students will be recognized during Slippery Rock University’s second annual Global Graduation ceremony tonight.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Smith Student Center Ballroom and is sponsored by the SRU Office of Global Engagement.
Five graduating students from the countries of China, Sri Lanka, Congo and Bangladesh will receive special stoles, lapel pins, and be honored with a video tribute.
In addition, 13 international exchange students from countries like Slovokia, Mexico, Belgium, South Korea, Hungary and Iceland will be returning home. The ceremony will also recognize five American students returning home from long-term study abroad programs in France, Australia and Spain.
