Slippery Rock University will hold their winter commencement ceremony this weekend.
Nearly 550 students will receive diplomas on Saturday, Dec. 9 beginning at 11 a.m. inside Morrow Field House. A rehearsal for the event is Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
The ceremony will include 425 graduating seniors, 125 master’s degrees and five doctoral degrees. Tickets are required for admission and doors open at 9:30 a.m.
SRU Interim President and Provost Philip Way will begin the ceremony with welcoming remarks and William McCarrier will speak on behalf of the SRU Council of Trustees. A reception for graduates and their guests is planned for immediately after the ceremony in the GrassTex area of the field house.
