The Slippery Rock University football team won in convincing fashion against Lock Haven on Saturday in a PSAC crossover game, winning by a final of 59-23.
The Rock’s offense looked stellar against Lock Haven, tallying 31 points in the first half alone. Additionally, the offense gained 648 yards on 111 plays (442 passing, 206 rushing).
Leading The Rock’s offense were senior quarterback Don King III (411 yards on 33 completions and 3 touchdowns), Shamar Greene (53 yards and 2 touchdowns, and only played just over two quarters), and receiver Cornelius “Milly” Raye (11 receptions, 174 yards, 2 touchdowns). Don King III also gained 46 yards on the ground.
Defensively, The Rock’s first-teamers held New Haven’s passing attack (ranked #2 in the nation) to just 94 passing yards through three quarters. Kyle Hall led all Rock defenders with five tackles.
