The Slippery Rock University council of trustees has rescinded a 2% tuition increase originally requested in December of last year.
This action was taken during a virtual meeting Monday in response to the recently approved state budget which provides additional funding to the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
The upcoming 2022-23 school year now marks four years that SRU tuition has not increased.
For undergraduate students at Slippery Rock, basic in-state tuition will remain at $7,716 for the academic year beginning this fall.
