Thursday is World AIDS day and a Slippery Rock University group is holding an informational program to mark the occasion.
SRU’s HOPE, or Healthy Outreach through Peer Education, Peer Educators are holding the program from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Smith Student Center commuter lounge.
The presentation will include a variety of activities and red awareness ribbons as well as information about HIV testing and protection against the virus. The theme of this year’s World AIDS Day is Leadership Commitment Impact.
The goal of HOPE Peer Educators is to promote student wellness by offering education and advocating for campus and community support.
