An event later this week at Slippery Rock University will educate students, faculty and staff about online safety and dangers.
The third annual Cyber Security Fair will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. this Thursday in the Smith Student Center Ballroom on the SRU campus.
The agenda will include lectures and training sessions, as well as informational and vendor booths. The fair will cover topics such as email security, social media, smart phones, internet privacy, and passwords. Other presentations will focus on malicious ransom-ware and the hazards of popular mobile games like Pokemon Go.
Around 300 people are expected to attend the fair. October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month.
