Slippery Rock University is helping some students get home for the Thanksgiving holiday.
SRU’s Student Success Office is underwriting a charter bus that departs campus Wednesday morning and will return around 5 p.m. Sunday.
The bus will make four stops between Breezewood and Philadelphia. The University is funding a portion of the cost but participating students have each purchased a $50 non-refundable, round-trip ticket.
SRU will consider providing bus transportation for future breaks depending on interest, but breaks in the winter and spring are more difficult to coordinate because students leave at different times with more belongings to take home.
