Slippery Rock University’s Council of Trustees has voted to request approval to offer two new graduate degree programs.
SRU would like to make available a Master of Accountancy and a Master of Social Work to keep up with student and employer demand.
The Master of Accountancy would allow students more specification than the current MBA degree. The Master of Social Work would include half credits earned face to face and half online as well as a 900 hour internship requirement and a service learning component.
The chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education will now review the proposals as part of the degree approval process.
