Former Slippery Rock University track and field athletes Sabrina Anderson of Warren, Pa. and Krista Caldwell of Gilbertsville, Pa. will compete April 28-29 at the Baltimore taping for the 11th season of the NBC television program “American Ninja Warrior.”
“American Ninja Warrior” follows competitors as they tackle a series of challenging obstacle courses in both city qualifying and city finals rounds across the country. Those that successfully complete the finals course in their designated region move on to the national finals round, where they face a stunning four-stage course modeled after the famed Mt. Midoriyama course in Japan. The overall winner of the season takes home a grand prize of $1 million.
Both Anderson and Caldwell received undergraduate and advanced degrees from Slippery Rock while competing for the track and field team.
