The Slippery Rock University football team will host Virginia-Union in the opening round of the NCAA Division II tournament this Saturday at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. The Rock, who won their second consecutive PSAC Championship Saturday, were named the #2-seed in Super Region 1 by the NCAA Selection Committee Sunday evening. There are four Super Region’s and 28 teams entering the post-season. The winner of this weekend’s game in Slippery Rock will advance into the second round and meet the winner of Assumption vs. Bowie State. If The Rock wins, they would also host that match-up.
