Slippery Rock University has further narrowed the list of candidates to be the next president of the school from 10 down to five.
Those five candidates will visit the campus next week for public interviews with students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and community members.
The candidates include:
–Daniel Wubah, senior adviser to the president, Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia. Wubah will interview Feb. 11-12.
–Matthew Liao–Troth, senior vice president and provost/vice president of academic affairs, Hawai’i Pacific University, Honolulu, Hawaii. Liao-Troth will interview Feb. 12-13.
–William Behre, provost, Georgian Court University, Lakewood, New Jersey. Behre will interview Feb. 13-14.
–James Strong, professor of marketing, College of Business, California State University, Stanislaus, Turlock, California. Strong will interview Feb. 14-15.
–Rodney Hanley, provost and vice president of academic affairs, Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee. Hanley will interview Feb. 15-16.
The search committee will meet the following on Monday, Feb. 19 to select two candidates to recommend to the SRU Council of Trustees.
