Spring turkey season kicks off this weekend with the annual youth spring turkey hunt.
Hunting hours for the youth event begin a half hour before sunrise Saturday and end at noon. All participants in the youth hunt must be accompanied by an adult.
The PA Game Commission is also sponsoring their first ever Turkey Harvest Photo Contest. Finalists will be chosen in the adult and youth categories then the public will vote for winners on the Game Commission’s Facebook page. Winners will be awarded a personalized engraved box call.
