Pennsylvania’s Speaker of the House is expected to announce his resignation today.
Republican Mike Turzai of the North Hills said he wouldn’t run for reelection after this year and would take a job in the private sector.
He’s expected to make a speech in Harrisburg later today.
Turzai was first elected to the house in 2001 and was named speaker in 2015.
