The Butler BlueSox defeated the Jamestown Jammers 3-1 in 12-innings last night in the Prospect League. Sox closer Zach Spangler picked up his league-leading 13th save of the season, which ties the BlueSox franchise record. Spangler is within three of the all-time Prospect League record. BlueSox starting pitcher Larry Wood did not allow a run over six innings. Matt Hansen led Butler with three hits and scored the winning run. All-Star David Marcus had his hitting streak stopped at 15 games. The game was delayed nearly an hour due to rain.
Butler will host Jamestown tonight, the first of three games at home this week. First pitch is 6:35pm.
