The Butler BlueSox lost to Champion City 9-5 last night. Sox starting pitcher Cole Shinsky fell to 0-2 after allowing seven runs in four innings. Shinsky allowed just five hits, but was hurt by four walks. He allowed four runs alone in the first inning. The Sox are now 6-17 this season, and host first-place West Virginia tonight at 7:05pm. The Miners enter the game 17-5.
The Altoona Curve defeated the Harrisburg Senators 4-0 last night. Mitch Keller allowed just one hit over eight innings. Keller allowed just a one-out single in the first inning. He is the first Eastern League pitcher to win nine games this season.
