The South Butler School Board could choose the district’s next superintendent as early as next month.
Following six weeks spent advertising the position in August and September, the board is currently reviewing the credentials of 22 applicants.
The whole board will then conduct interviews with an undetermined number of those applicants in the coming weeks. The board hopes to vote on extending an offer of employment to their top choice in November but there could be a delay before that person is actually able to start.
Former Superintendent Dr. Frank Prazenica returned to the district in August on an interim basis after previous superintendent Dr. David Zupsic resigned to accept another position.
