Several South Butler High School students will be representing the district on television this weekend.
Nathaniel Pettit, Will Morgus, Nick Ripper and Jacob Love will compete in the final round of Hometown High Q on KDKA-TV Saturday at 11 a.m. This is a quiz show that tests the knowledge of students from local schools in different areas.
The episode has already been filmed but the students are not allowed to officially reveal how they did. The students could win as much as $6,000, which they say they would like to spend on the student newspaper, the district’s microphone fund, and new AP European History textbooks.
A total of 81 teams participated in this year’s version of the show. South Butler has never advanced beyond the second round.
