Following the news of the fatal crash Wednesday afternoon, the South Butler County School District reacted and posted a note on its website.
It reads, in part,…“the district was made aware of a tragic accident on Route 8 that resulted in the loss of life of one Knoch High School student. The student was loved and respected by teachers and students, and this loss will have a great impact on the school community.”
The school is offering counseling services to any high or middle school student.
Ashton was a junior at Knoch High School and a member of the football team. A GoFundMe account has been created to help raise money for his funeral.
