Following the news of the fatal crash Wednesday afternoon, the South Butler County School District reacted and posted a note on its website.
It reads, in part, “the district was made aware of a tragic accident on Route 8 that resulted in the loss of life of one Knoch High School student. The student was loved and respected by teachers and students, and this loss will have a great impact on the school community.”
The school says it will provide counseling services to any high or middle school student who may need comfort and support.
