The South Butler School District has hired a new Director of Technology.
The board hired Michael Losk to the position Wednesday with prorated salary of $80,000 per year.
Losk was most recently a computer teacher at Knoch High School and has been an employee of the district for 12 years.
Losk’s new responsibilities will include overseeing hardware, software, network and connectivity for the district, as well as finding ways in which technology can enhance curriculum. Losk will be working closely with Pitt Bull Secure Technology who the district has contracted with to handle much of their technology administration.
The hiring process lasted about a month and included 13 interviews. The Director of Technology position at South Butler has been vacant since July 2015.
