The South Butler County School District is moving forward with a new food service management company for next school year.
At their meeting earlier this week, South Butler School Board approved a food service contract with AVI Food Systems.
No details about the agreement were made available since it is pending approval by the district solicitor.
A representative of the district’s current food service provider Nutrition Group spoke at the meeting to encourage reconsideration of their bid to continue with the district.
District administration and the board would not provide information about why the choice was made to switch food service providers.
