The South Butler School Board has agreed to a contract with the district’s service employees union.
The agreement is a three-year deal retroactive to July 1, 2015 and continuing through June 30, 2018. The service employee union represents South Butler’s custodial and maintenance staff.
The new deal includes a wage freeze for the current year and 35 cent per hour (or 2 percent) raises in each of the next two years. Compromises were also made on health care plans and health care premium contributions. This agreement has already been ratified by the union.
South Butler continues to operate without a current contract for teachers. Those negotiations are ongoing.
